Anyone can forward you a quote. Before we send one, we audit the operator, the aircraft, and the two people in the cockpit — on that specific date, for that specific flight.
A quote only tells you the price. It doesn't tell you who's operating the flight, the condition of the aircraft, the crew's experience, or the operator's insurance and safety standards.
That's why we do the work first and quote second. If an operator doesn't meet our standards, you won't see their aircraft on your options — regardless of the price.
Not a one-time certificate check. The operator, the specific tail, and the crew assigned to your trip are each verified before we send you the option.
Our safety data comes from third parties whose only business is auditing this industry, plus the public accident and incident record — pulled at the time we build your options, not from a file we saved last year.
ARGUS audits charter operators and rates them Gold, Gold Plus, or Platinum based on on-site audit, historical safety record, and pilot experience. Their TripCHEQ report is run against a specific flight: it checks the operator, the registered aircraft, and the assigned crew for that date, and returns a pass or a flag. We run one on trips where it adds something — a new operator, an unfamiliar tail, or a demanding routing.
Every operator we place you with carries liability and passenger bodily injury cover appropriate to the aircraft and the mission. We read the certificate — limits, named insured, territory, and whether charter operations are actually covered — before the flight is confirmed.
Indicative minimums by class. Actual limits vary by operator and aircraft; your advisor can send the certificate of insurance for the specific tail on request.
Charter operators are vetted through third-party audits and the public record. Velox checks ARGUS and Wyvern ratings, incident history, insurance limits, and captain hours in type — for the specific tail and crew assigned to your date, re-run on every flight before a quote is sent.
Both. An operator has to clear our standard before they are on our list at all, and then the specific tail and the specific crew are checked against your trip. Operators change hands, aircraft move between certificates, and a captain current last quarter may not be this one. A file from six months ago is not a safety check.
A flight-specific report from ARGUS covering three things: is this operator in good standing, is this aircraft properly on their certificate, and do these two pilots meet the experience and currency criteria. It comes back as a pass or a flag before you fly. Ask for one on any trip and we will run it.
Yes. We will tell you what it was, when, what the finding was, and what changed afterwards. Some incidents are genuinely minor and well handled; some are a pattern. You should get the facts and our read on them, not a filtered list.
Usually because a different aircraft or a different operator is behind it. When we are more expensive we will show you the aircraft the other quote is on and let you decide with the safety picture in front of you. Sometimes the answer is that the other quote is fine — we will say that too.
Often a serious one. Without a properly executed dry lease — operational control transferred to you in writing, crew hired separately — that flight is illegal charter, and it is the industry’s most persistent grey market. The legal exposure is the least of it. You have no visibility into how the aircraft is maintained or who is in the cockpit, and critically, you are not covered: that aircraft is insured for private use, so an insurer that finds the flight was an unapproved charter can deny the claim outright, leaving you, your family, and the owner personally exposed. We are not here to babysit anyone, but flying private deserves to be taken seriously — your life is what is on the table. Call us before you accept, and we will tell you plainly whether the arrangement holds up.
Yes, and many corporate flight departments and family offices do. Tell us the standard — ARGUS Platinum only, Wyvern Wingman, minimum PIC hours in type, a specific insurance floor — and we will only source aircraft that meet it.
No. Velox Jets is an air charter broker under DOT Part 295. Every flight is operated by a registered Part 135 operator or the foreign equivalent. Our job is to choose that operator carefully and hold them to a standard — which is exactly why the vetting matters and why you should be working with an experienced broker.

We're sourcing aircraft and pricing for your trip now. Expect named tails, operator safety records, and an all-in quote — typically within the hour.
