Terms

The terms we work under.

Velox Jets is an air charter broker acting as your agent. These terms cover how quotes, bookings, changes, and cancellations work, who holds operational control of a flight, and where our responsibility begins and ends.

Effective 4 September 2026
In short

Does Velox operate the aircraft?

No. We are an independent broker acting as your agent under DOT Part 295. Every flight is operated by a vetted FAA Part 135 certificate holder or foreign equivalent, and that operator holds operational control.

01

Who we are, and what we do

Velox Jets is an air charter broker under United States Department of Transportation regulations, acting as an agent for you under 14 CFR Part 295. We do not own or operate aircraft, and we do not hold operational control of any flight. Every flight we arrange is operated by a registered FAA Part 135 certificate holder or its foreign equivalent, selected against the FAA’s standards and our own.

Before your flight we will tell you which operator is flying it. On request, and in any case as the regulations require, we will confirm in writing that we act as your agent, identify the operator and the aircraft, and disclose the existence of any corresponding fee arrangement.

02

Quotes and pricing

A quote is an estimate based on what an operator has offered for a specific aircraft, route, and time. It is not a booking and does not hold an aircraft. Availability, owner approval, crew duty limits, slots, and permits can all change a quote or withdraw it, and prices move with fuel.

Unless a quote says otherwise, it excludes items that cannot be known in advance: de-icing, hangarage, standby or overnight charges caused by your schedule, catering above the standard offering, ground transport, wifi usage, international handling and permit fees, and taxes or segment fees applicable to the trip. We itemise what is included and what is not on every quote we send.

03

Booking and payment

A trip is confirmed when the charter agreement is signed and payment has been received in cleared funds, unless credit terms have been agreed in writing. Payment in full is normally due before departure. We do not accept cash.

The charter agreement between you and the operator, together with the operator’s conditions of carriage, governs the flight itself. Where those documents and these terms differ on an operational matter, the charter agreement controls.

04

Changes and cancellation

Cancellation and change terms are set by the operator’s charter agreement and vary by aircraft and season. Inside the notice window, deposits and payments may be wholly or partly non-refundable, and a repositioning leg already flown is normally payable in full. We will always tell you the cancellation terms before you commit, and we will push an operator for flexibility where there is any to be had.

Timing changes are subject to crew duty limits, airport hours, slots, and permits. Some changes are simply not available at short notice, however willing everyone is.

05

Operational control and safety

The operator holds operational control, and the pilot in command has final authority over the flight. Decisions about weather, payload, runway suitability, fuel stops, delay, diversion, and cancellation rest with the crew and the operator. Neither you nor Velox can overrule them, and we will not ask a crew to fly a trip they have called unsafe.

06

Aircraft substitution

Aircraft go unserviceable. If the aircraft you booked becomes unavailable, we will source a replacement of the same category or better at no additional cost to you where the substitution is within the operator’s control, and we will tell you what changed before you fly. If no acceptable replacement exists, the charter agreement governs what is refunded.

07

Your responsibilities as a passenger

  • Provide accurate passenger names, dates of birth, and weights, and tell us promptly when they change.
  • Carry valid identification, passports, and any visas or entry permits the trip requires, and meet the entry rules of every country on the routing.
  • Declare pets, firearms, hazardous items, and unusual cargo in advance; each is subject to operator approval and to the rules of the countries involved.
  • Observe customs, agriculture, and immigration requirements, and crew instructions on board.
  • Carry nothing unlawful. Fines, penalties, delays, and costs arising from inaccurate information, missing documents, denied entry, or prohibited items are yours.
08

Membership and owner programs

Velox Reserve Membership and Own & Offset are governed by their own written agreements, which set the deposit, rate, availability, notice, and termination terms for that program. Where such an agreement exists, it controls over these terms for that relationship.

09

Using this website

The text, layout, photography, and marks on this site belong to Velox Jets or our licensors. You may read and share it; you may not scrape, republish, or reuse it commercially without our written permission.

Aircraft specifications, ranges, cabin layouts, flight times, and any figures shown on the site are indicative and for guidance only. Photography may show an aircraft of the same type rather than the specific tail offered. Nothing on this site is an offer to charter a particular aircraft at a particular price — only a written quote is.

10

Liability

As a broker we are responsible for arranging your charter with reasonable care and skill. We are not the carrier, and we are not liable for the acts or omissions of an operator, crew, handler, or other third party, nor for delay, diversion, or cancellation caused by weather, air traffic control, mechanical unserviceability, government action, or anything else outside our control.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, including lost profits, missed connections, or missed events, and our total liability arising out of a trip is limited to the fees we earned on it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

You agree to reimburse us for claims, fines, and costs we incur because of information you gave us that was inaccurate, or because of a passenger’s conduct or documents.

11

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of them or out of a trip we arranged is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts sitting in Broward County, Florida. Before filing anything, please call us — most disputes in this business are a misunderstanding about what a quote included.

12

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the effective date above will change and the new version applies to trips quoted after it. Questions: [email protected] or +1 (775) 527-0414, available 24/7. See also our Privacy Policy.
